FEEDBACKS
WEEK 5
General Feedbacks: Be sure to look for articles, journals, research papers and more. No blog, Wikipedia, etc. Evaluate the articles found in Mendeley as it is more convenient.
Specific Feedback: I should be specific in my title in the proposal slide.
WEEK 6
*NO CLASS FOR THIS WEEK*
WEEK 7
General Feedbacks: One has to pay attention to whether the article you have chosen is a thesis or a journal article.
Specific Feedback: You have to pay attention to the gaps addressed by the researchers for the articles chosen. You should also make a short summary or notes in the articles you chose. Reflections can be both positive and negative.
REFLECTIONS
WEEK 5
After going through the workshop provided by the lecturers, I have a better understanding on how to use our schools’ sources to find related articles and I’ve been browsing a lot. Even so, it still took me some time to find all the articles that I’m going to review. Searching for articles isn’t really hard, but choosing exactly which article is related to my topic, or to what I would like to know is another story. After skimming some of the text, I have often found myself debating whether it’s related or not, and that is what takes up most of my time. Plus, I think with me being constantly worried if I have made a mistake had me take this longer than needed.
WEEK 6
This part is proving to be quite hard because I am to read all the chosen articles. However, my English isn’t really good and thus there are a lot of times where I do not understand what the authors are trying to say and have to search quite frequently the terminology and more used in the articles. With my difficulty in understanding everything, reading even 1 article has made me frustrated and unmotivated most of the time and I can only regret that my English is bad.
WEEK 7
I personally think I have stressed myself even further than I probably need to? Since we did not have classes last week, I’m not too sure as to how exactly I should start the critical review. I couldn’t exactly start like how our seniors did because apparently our stuff and theirs are different, and thus makes me quite clueless. Furthermore, like I have said in the previous week of self reflection, I wasn’t able to write out good and no grammar error sentences easily and always have to ask for help. And although I have gone through the notes provided by the lecturer, I simply keep getting confused more and more. Plus, with the deadline drawing nearer and nearer and other subjects’ assignments piling up as well, I am starting to get nervous all the time which causes me to be overwhelmed. What’s worse is that I have no motivation at all, and to be honest, that sucked because I NEED the motivation to do anything.
