Exercise 1: Framing
Fig 1.1; Framing Shots;
In this exercise, we are to film short clips according the shot given, for
example for Frontal MCU, which means front medium close-up, we need to
film a 5 second video with that shot, then proceed to edit them in Premier
Pro with captions of the shot.
Rules:
- Shoot wide shot with wide angle.
- The rest ZOOM IN to get soft background.
- Refer to the examples provided or google references for GOOD composition.
- Avoid overexposed or underexposed (too bright or too dark).
- Do the shooting during day time.
- Shoot landscape format video, 5 seconds per shot.
- Edit with CAPTION (Mention the shot size), export video for submission.

After finishing the filming, I imported all the clips into Premier Pro and
proceed to edit them, I cut out the part where I think is not good.
After finishing the whole editing process, I then continue on inserting
the subtitle for the shots.

Exercise 2: Offline Editing
Fig 1.5; Clips Provided;
In this exercise, we are to edit the clips provided by our lecturer, Mr. Martin, filmed by our seniors. The order of the clips are not right, so we will have to refer to the original video, which is a short film name "Lalin" to do the editing. Below is my progression:

Exercise 3: Music Video
Fig 1.9; Exercise Slides;
In this exercise, we are to film a short (at least 30 second) music video.
We are to do this exercise in a group of 3 people. My partners are Jo Min
and Chze Huang. After some discussion, our chosen music for the exercise is
Good Boy by GD X Taeyang. Furthermore, we decided to film the music video in
campus.
Fig 2.0; Video clips;
After that, our friend, Chze Huang uploaded the video and shared it to us,
and I proceed to film the rest of the MV by myself. After that part is
done, I then edit them in Premier Pro. Below is my Progression:

Fig 2.2; MV Editing Process 2;
Fig 2.3; MV Editing Process 3;
I first placed the music that I downloaded, then proceed to cut the
video in to the parts that I wanted and inserted them. Next, I added
some adjustment layers to it so that it would look a bit nice. I also
design a little bit at the front of the video for the words to come
in.

Exercise 4: Production Shoot
Fig 2.5; Shooting Exercise Instructions;
Fig 2.6; Work Distribution;
In this exercise, we are to shoot the selected scenes from the slides
in a big crew. This is so that we can understand and experience how a
real production crew works. As can see from fig 2.6, my job is
managing the lighting. Below is some of our crew's photos:
REFLECTIONS
In these exercises, I think the the second one, which is the Lalin
exercise, makes me feel quite happy as I got to learn the story and
also it's the first exercise that I did as well, so I was quite enjoying the whole experience of learning how the software functions and stuff. In the first one, it was my first time trying to film something like this, so I wasn't exactly sure as to how I should execute it, and I also wasn't sure that the shots I take are right or not. However, I started to slowly learn them as time goes by. In the third one, I feel quite embarrassed as I'm not the type of person to show myself on screen, so it feels weird to be filming myself, and for a music video at that too. I feel like the pose are weird and awkward. I like the 4th exercise as I got to know new people and also experience a production shoot. I have never done this before, so it is a completely new experience for me. Even so, I enjoyed my time learning while having fun, and also getting to know new people.
