In these few weeks, we have to come up with a game.
Fig 1.1; Progression of Brainstorming Ideas;
Our team have 6 members, and the work distribution between us members are
pretty obvious. The four of us, which is Siew Ni, Jia Yee, Cheryl, and me will
be responsible of the story of the game, while the other two, Chze Huang and
Hazeem will be responsible for making the game. In fig 1.1 shows all our
progression of the story.
After finalizing the base of our story, since we keep changing the storyline,
we then proceed to make all the necessary preparations, which is the dialogue,
the choices and the images.

REFLECTIONS
In this module, I definitely learned a lot. I'm very interested in this module
at first as I like playing games, and I like watching people playing games as
well. So creating a game is something I have longed to do since a long time
ago. However, creating a game is not as easy as I initially thought it would
be. There are a lot of time where we have to brainstorm for ideas and it has
to match our idea execution levels. Also, due to limited time and other
assignments and life duties that I and my groupmates need to handle, it took
us quite some time to finalize the base of the story. At the second half of
the semester, there are more and more workload and due dates, causing us to
think that whether we could make a good game.
To be honest, I always finding myself lacking confidence over the things that
I do. I don't feel confident in our game, as I felt that it's too weak to show
what we want to express. After consulting with the people in the game
industry, I realized that I am so so far from making a good game. Luckily, for
me, I don't think I would give up so easily in my dreams (cringe), so I think
after processing and digesting the feedback I got, I felt that there's so so
so much more things to learn out there about game development. Anyhow, I still
feel very grateful to my lecturer and my groupmates. I think that its really
good that my lecturer were very patient in playing our game and also providing
very insightful feedbacks, and I would also like to take this chance to thank
him for giving us a chance to develop our own game, because that's really
cool, and I really like it. For my groupmates, while it isn't the perfect
(what is a perfect group, anyways?) group, it is the group that I would be
grateful for. Everyone participated in the game discussion and development,
and just for that, I think its great and amazing. Even if our game isn't that
great, I think its a huge accomplishment to me that we were able to create our
own game, so if I have the chance to, I would definitely try and make a better
game where everyone would enjoy it.
