In this assignment, we are to design a book and move the content of or dissertation to the book. I first searched for references.

After getting some ideas on how to do it, I then start to design the book cover.

After designing the book cover, I then proceed to make some illustrations so that I can use it in the book. It's pretty tough work.

General Feedbacks: Book design cover page should be related to your topic

Specific Feedback: Your cover page doesn’t seem to relate that much to your topic. You can search for keywords when looking for references. 

WEEK 11

General Feedbacks: Do pay attention to the typeface used

Specific Feedback: The first and second page of the book design is empty. It should be some designs related to your book cover

WEEK 12 

General Feedbacks: Do come to consultation so that the lecturer could provide some feedback to help you. 

Specific Feedback: Do make sure that the alignment of the text is correct. 

REFLECTION

WEEK 8

I did search for a few references and stuff on Pinterest or Behance in order to make an aesthetic yet related to my topic’s design. However, I just feel that something’s either not right or it just doesn’t work that way, sometimes I felt that it seemed a bit unrelated to my topic, as I kept on trying to keep it general. However, that’s now what I’m supposed to do. In the end, I decided to sketch a few sketches to test out my ideas. But…. It's too ugly. 

WEEK 9

Yikes, For this part of the assignment, I’m gonna be honest and say that I dislike it a lot. I can’t really think of a suitable design for my cover page and I couldn’t really pay attention because of it as well. I tried out different designs, however, all of them either look too bland or just plain horrible. For this, I think I may have locked myself in a box, and couldn’t generate greater ideas since I felt like I can definitely do something better than whatever I did. Sigh, another day of drowning in the stress of assignments. 

WEEK 10

Getting out of designing the cover page is ending ONE nightmare, moving my content and designing the pages is another nightmare waiting for me. There’s a lot of pages. At first, I found myself quite enjoying what I’m doing, I felt that it looks okay and good, imagining it turning into an e-book kept me excited since it’s the first time I'm writing a BOOK. However, as the time goes by and when I’m a bit towards the middle of designing the book, I started to procrastinate… A LOT. While that is not an excuse, I still feel hopeless anyway. Right now, I just hope I can finish it soon. 

WEEK 11

 Yish… my whole head is just cri cri cri. Anyway, in this week of doing the assignment, I find my brain is almost out of… juice. While I’m almost towards the end of designing my book, I just find it pretty hard to squeeze in creative ideas on how to design my book anymore. While I know that it shouldn’t be too complicated in terms of the design, I sometimes felt like it’s too lacking and boring considering how my book is just full of text and let’s be real, who likes to read just a bunch of text for a long time? So I went ahead and browsed for more ideas, in the end, while I did manage to come up with some layout ideas, I still felt that I could do better. 

WEEK 12

In this week of the assignment, I think I’m pretty much done. Of course there’s still things that need to change and a lot of things that I have to watch out for such as widows and orphans. Unfortunately, my efficiency went downhill this week due to the fever I got. However, I hope that I can finish assignment 2 as soon as possible so that I won’t have to think about it too much.

Fig 1.1; Reaper Test Game; sauce:  TDS Gamezone ; Although the graphic of this game does not feel as good as the other game in Gamezone. However, it is still nice as it uses simple shapes and design, the colors used in the game does not feel very out of place, the background also feels alright, but for my first time playing this game, I did not know about the environment of the game.
