LECTURES
WEEK 1
For the first week, we're tasked with doing a small exercise about coding a
webpage about ourself, here is my link:
WEEK 2 & WEEK 3
This week, we need to create an app based on the picture provided by our
lecturer. The picture is shown below:
WEEK 4
This week, we learned about JavaScript and stuff, and our lecturer provided us
a link:

PROGRESSION
APP DESIGN I: SELF EVALUATION AND REFLECTION
fig 2.1; App Design I;
Review: I feel like I needed to add more variety of colors into the app so
as to not make it look so bland, the contrast will also be more obvious as
well.
Fig 2.2; Home Page;
Review: The home page feels a little blank and empty, I feel like it can
add a sliding challenge page to it and or add some more interesting and
relevant illustrations.

Fig 2.4; Create Habit;
Review: At the left side of the image, the part where users create
habit, I think that the whole UI needs to be change to a more visually
interesting interface so as to not make it seem so bland and boring, I
feel like it can add more illustrations and the part where the options
pop out needs to be changed as well. While at the right part of the
image, the illustrations for each option will have to be more
consistent and the colors shouldn't blend together with the
background.
Fig 2.5; Typing Habit;
Review: The part where people input their habit looks a bit dead,
but, I'm not sure as to how to exactly modify it. However, I think
that I can referenced it off from the original application and also
from Pinterest, but more needs to be explore in this part.
Fig 2.6; Redesign Test 1; (20/5/23)
In this part, I added 2 more pages to it as I think my previous
one look a little too less. I also added some more colors to it as
well. However, I still do not feel that it looks nice as it feels
as if something is lacking there.
Fig 2.7; Redesign Test 2; (21/5/2023)
Above is my work of redesigning my app, I personally feel that
it is definitely better than my previous versions of the app.
However, I am not as satisfied for it as much as I think.
Final Submission of Redesign:

FEEDBACK
Specific Feedback:
You can try out other different colors than just orange. Furthermore, the habit input page does not look nice at all. The illustrations doesn't really match and it's not consistent.
REFLECTION
I think I spend a lot of time in redesigning the app from my Application Design I. I felt that I wasn't able to think outside of the box when I'm designing this app and there are numerous times where I have the urge to straight away change to another app. However, I think that that will take more time than needed and decided to just focus on my own app instead. However, I wouldn't say doing this is completely a bad thing since I did learned a lot of layout planning and whatsoever. I hope I can improve more in future projects like these.
