REFLECTIONS
Experience:
My journey for this is actually pretty fun! I like it a lot as I've definitely learned a lot from it. I've no doubt struggle a lot during the module as I'm a slow learner and need more time to execute my ideas. It's a bit sad how I almost always feel dissatisfied with my work, I wish I could be more confident in my works and stuff. However, I know I'm not gonna give up because of this, as this is part of learning as well, to know your own shortcomings. Although I feel really stressed and overwhelm most of the time, I still had a lot of fun doing the tasks, as I've always excited when learning new things. Not only that, but this module has also hone my skills of observation.
Observations:
After doing all these tasks, I've observed how important some details are, as they have a saying, "every detail counts", I've noticed how a simple stroke could already express different meaning and feeling. Ever since taking this module (and other modules as well), I've learned to observe things around me, for example how the typography looks on some poster or how it would look like on a biscuit packet. It is quite interesting to see how every type of typography looks on different things. I've also observed how shapes are basically the composition of letters when I did task 3A, it really amuses me on how different type of typeface we could do with just simple shapes.
Findings:
I've learned a lot during this module. I've found out how to used Illustrator effectively during this whole module and I have also learn how to do a simple gif animation using Photoshop as well. I've also learned how to give feedbacks to my peers as well, although I'm still not good at providing feedbacks but I'm still in the process of learning and hopefully will be able to be better at it. I've also learned how to do composition better after taking this module.
